Onward Sango
Onward, born in Guruve in 1975, is the younger brother of the late Brighton Sango, an esteemed figure in the world of stone art. Growing up surrounded by the beauty of stone sculpture, Onward's earliest memories are intertwined with the art form, witnessing his brother's rise to fame and acclaim.
In the mid-1980s, Onward embarked on his own artistic journey, guided by the expertise of his brother. It was during this time that he embraced his identity as an artist and allowed his unique style to evolve and flourish. As the early 1990s approached, Onward began sculpting independently, carving his own path in the world of stone art.
Following the unfortunate passing of his brother, Onward remained steadfast in his artistic pursuits. Today, he continues to work alongside his younger brothers in Guruve, establishing the Sango Gallery as their home studio. At the gallery, Onward takes on the role of providing workshops to his younger brothers and the sons of the late Brighton. Through the efforts of the Sango Gallery, Guruve's artistic presence has grown and flourished.
With a deep commitment to preserving the legacy of his late brother, Onward expresses his desire to see his family maintain vibrance in the realm of cubic art. To him, art is the most precious inheritance from his beloved brother, a legacy he intends to nurture and pass on to future generations.
